INFORMAL FIELD MARKETING
DMG have Field Marketers in the Informal markets placing POS and ensuring brand correctness. Historically we were very involved in painting a large number of Spaza stores yellow, together with the placing of signage to display the new MTN brand in 2004. Field Marketers were involved in a huge countrywide campaign to re-brand townships and rural areas and literally “painted towns yellow”. Field Marketers were proactive in converting outlying areas to meet the standards of the new corporate identity look and feel.

Nompumelolo Ngobese is a zoner in Mlazi, Kwazulu Natal. She is extremely passionate about her work and the prospects and future this job has given her.
She trained as a teacher, but with the untimely tragedy of her mother being killed she needed to earn money to help with the full households costs.
Her granny is the head of this amazing family and Nompumelolo wanted to give her something special with her first Zoner salary. She bought 2 aluminium doors which is the talk of the town ! Something her granny had longed for as far back as she could remember.
Her granny says she ‘couldn’t be prouder of my grandchild and all she has achieved. She is a special one”
